Mark Johnston has been a professional photographer for over 25 years.
Covering such diverse subjects as nature, sports and military photography, he has exhibited his work on numerous occasions and has contributed words and pictures to a variety of magazine articles and features.
He currently lives in Wellington, Somerset, just a few miles from Taunton Racecourse where he is the official photographer at around 20 national hunt meetings every year. His racing credentials also extend to Cheltenham and Aintree where he has photographed some of the most famous racehorses and jockeys of all time.
His love of sports photography has evolved into a commercial partnership, and the recently launched Sportography LLP has made a promising start in business, with Mark's experience and Steve Olive's technical abilities establishing a strong footing.
Despite his obvious skill in many branches of photography, Mark has found that his pictures of plants and gardens have regularly won him much praise. You can view a few examples of that work in the nature gallery.
Shown below are a few examples of Mark's magazine features.
